Activity 1.2: Observational painting

I enjoyed this activity more than I was expecting, finding it a little daunting to start with. In the final analysis I did two examples

First I made a few notes to myself about how to proceed:

Then I got underway making a pale colour wash and working up the outline

I made a few more observational notes

And finished off my first go at this activity:

I wasn't entirely happy with his  piece of work and felt that it would in any case be a good idea to try the activity again:
